TODAY IS THE DAY. I’ve been dreaming of the day this shoot would go live on my blog after its feature over on Ruffled (check out the feature here!). This mountaintop elopement inspiration is full of total earthiness – organic linens, deer antlers, rocky cliffs, and two of our gorgeous friends celebrating their 1 year anniversary. NoLo Weddings + Events entirely nailed this design styled for the adventurous bride seeking an earthy, quaint ceremony amidst nature with an intimate dinner escape in the woods (uh.. YAAAS).
And just like a real wedding day, unpredictable weather set in & swung us for a loop with down-pouring rain & thunderstorms in the middle of the shoot. We packed everything up as fast as we could, hunkered down under the pavilion, then set back out to catch the last moments of daylight. What could have been a disaster made this shoot incredible – the hot rain created thick fog that hung low in the valley, creating a romantic backdrop for photos on the edge of the cliff. And as the night air cooled, the fog rose even higher. Need I write anything else?!
