Epicly Gorgeous Off-The-Grid Fall Elopement In the New York Catskills || Ashley & Tommy

Tucked away in the autumn woods, a winding gravel road leads the way long past cell signal to an opening in the woods with an 1800s Japanese mansion & tea garden. In an adventure we’ll cherish forever, Hunter & I joined Ashley & Tommy with their immediate family in the New York Catskills to celebrate their union. We had the fireplace rolling, cooked meals together, worked on puzzles, listened to the kids play piano, and remembered what life was like without cell phones. Turns out, it was pretty grand.

When the wedding day arrived, we finished breakfast & I rolled into the living room to take detail photos in my PJs & slippers. Gradually the day would unfold with the sweetest & most genuine moments – from Tommy & Ashley’s first look on a mossy stone bridge, to Ashley’s first look with her sweet stepson Colin, and of course their ceremony under the yellow-leafed tree. Ashley’s parents were also married on this same historic property years ago, making it all the more special. During their vows all 9 of us were in tears, including Hunter & I as we tried to blink them back to see our cameras. The excitement, tranquility, and ease of this incredible mountain ceremony setting was absolutely unforgettable. At the end of the night, once the cheesecakes were eaten & hugs were exchanged, we all hopped into a Finnish sauna by the creek to relax & bond in sweatiness as the stars lit the sky. Ashley & Tommy, you already know how much you mean to us! We’re so thrilled to be a part of this monumental adventure & document these memories <3.
