Intimate Backyard Elopement & A String-Lit Backyard Bash With Endless Pizza || Lorena & Patrick

As Lorena & Patrick held hands under a vibey Italian stone pergola draped in climbing wisteria vines, their officiant opened with the famous When Harry Met Sally quote “when you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible”. It couldn’t have been more fitting to kick off their intimate 10-guest elopement this way; Lorena & Patrick had decided to get married just 25 days before. In the whirlwind of excitement, friends & family began offering generous help for these soon-to-be newlyweds and it all fell right into place. BEAUTIFULLY, I might add. Lorena’s DIY skills kicked into high-gear as she made her own flowers (including her gorgeous headpiece!), decked out their backyard in string lights // romantic candles in unique bottles // a beer-filled canoe // layered oriental rugs // and cozy spaces with unique seating. After their intimate elopement at their friend’s home in the afternoon, Lorena & Patrick & their 10 guests joined the hoppin party in their own backyard with the rest of their friends & family to celebrate the great day. This post really reminds me how special, intentional, & gorgeous backyard weddings are.
