Gorgeous Summer Wedding At A Restored Grist Mill In The Woods || Dinah & Brian

Over the past year, Dinah has been restoring an old grist mill to be the backdrop of their wedding day. Because planning a wedding isn’t enough of a feat! After a short stint as an artisanal cidery, the once-churning old mill was left abandoned in 2017. Dinah breathed bountiful life into the old bones by plastering & restoring walls, hauling out old barrels, cleaning & painting, wire brushing the handsome beams, hand-scrubbing mold off of every individual stone in the walls, and thoughtfully curating every vignette along the way. She perfectly maintained the textured charm of all three floors bustling with aged memories. After thriving as the backdrop for their wedding, the newly restored mill will be an artist in residency program and shared workspace for local artists. I MEAN COME ON!

The day felt like a summer garden party you never wanted to leave. Dinah’s eye for earth-toned design & fern inspiration filled my eyes with joy – the invitations were printed on an antique letterpress, over 100 potted ferns blended the line between outside & inside, and stitched green vines textured Dinah’s veil. Every detail blended aesthetic beauty with warm comfort. Oh and in the midst of drooling over all the earthy details, I looked up to find their engagement photos framed in large canvas prints like a soothing art gallery. It took my breath away!
