Wholly mamma jamma. This session is all kinds of goodness to me. It’s rare that I create a vision of a photoshoot in my head and see it come to life. Thanks to some rad friends, this session inspired my creativity and just really pumped me up. It was either that or exhaustion from climbing a bajillion stairs up the mountain trail to get there. So, I should exercise more. Anyhow, I’ve had a mental image of one scene for about a year now: two rad folks standing on a mountain cliff looking through binoculars. Just that one frame. Sort of a looking-into-the-future-of-life’s-adventure-standing-side-by-side-with-my-forever-mate type of vibe. So when our rad friend Lauren found her grandfather’s binoculars back at her parents’ home that he used during the war (they literally have ‘made in occupied Japan’ inscribed on them — how crazy is that?!) we packed up our bags (& her stylish husband Kevin) and geared up for the chestnut-tree hike. Little did I know I’d end up with a full session of photos that I find such inspiration in!
